No. 6-ranked Eastern Wayne girls triumph on road

GREENVILLE -- No. 6-ranked Eastern Wayne remained unbeaten in 14 outings this season with a 58-50 conquest of Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe D.H. Conley on Friday.
Jasmine Covington emerged as the Warriors' top scorer with 14 points and dished out seven assists. Senior Megan Mozingo provided 13 points, including nine from behind the 3-point arc. Shontel Monk supplied nine points.
Naheria Hamilton pulled down nine rebounds and blocked four shots. Chelsea Wynn snared eight rebounds.
