* Boys' basketball: Southern Wayne 66, C.B. Aycock 24 -- Michael Evans led the Golden Falcons' attack with nine points. Teammate Elijah Batts added six points.
* Girls' basketball: C.B. Aycock 48, Southern Wayne 12 -- Embria Willis pumped in 13 points during the Golden Falcons' road win. Arlanda Faulkner knocked down 10 points, while Destiny Washington scored nine. Hannah Vinson added seven points.
Middle schools
* Girls' basketball: Norwayne 25, Mount Olive 23 -- Ciara Sykes pumped in 12 points for the victorious Cobras. Teammate Jada Spruill added four points. Carolina Summerlin led Mount Olive with nine points. Norwayne improved to 4-1 overall this season, while Mount Olive dipped to 2-3.
