UMO women fall at Elizabeth City State

ELIZABETH CITY -- Arieal Johnson posted a double-double for the University of Mount Olive, which dropped a 61-50 decision to in-state non-conference foe Elizabeth City State on Tuesday evening.
Johnson finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Trojan women, who fell to 3-6 overall this season. Ni'Ya Styles collected 10 points. Ty Wallace contributed eight points and seven rebounds.
UMO controlled the game until the closing minutes.
Jadda Jeffries scored 10 of 12 points in two-plus minutes as ECSU (5-4) retook the lead for good.
The Trojan women continue their four-game road swing Saturday at St. Augustine's in Raleigh. Tip-off is 2 p.m.
