* Girls basketball: Cresset Christian 33, Wayne Christian 27 -- Summer Rose led Wayne Christian with 15 points, but Wayne Christian came up short against Cresset Christian. Allison Whitfield and Madison Wells each contributed four points for the Eagles. Wayne Christian hosts Antioch Christian in their next game on Jan. 9, 2015.

* Girls' basketball: Cresset Christian 33, Wayne Christian 27 -- Summer Rose collected 15 points in the Eagles' road loss. Allison Whitfield and Madison Wells each chipped in four points. The Eagles return home Jan. 9, 2015 against Antioch Christian.

Middle schools

* Boys' basketball: Wayne School of Engineering 37, Rosewood 33 (OT) -- Jaden Cooper led the Titans with 18 points. Teammate Brady Morton contributed a double-double -- 11 points, 12 rebounds.

* Girls' basketball: Grantham 34, Dillard 32 -- Erykah Baldwin paced the Bulldogs with 10 points. Grace Tart scored eight points. Amber Pfenning and Alexis Elliott tallied six points apiece. Grantham (1-3 overall) visits Mount Olive Middle on Monday.

* Boys basketball: Greenwood 53, Mount Olive 15 -- Demartae Bizzell and Kris Clark each scored 10 points to lead Greenwood passed Mount Olive on Thursday. Isaiah Wilder grabbed 11 rebounds. Greenwood travels to Wayne School of Engineering on Monday.
