MOUNT OLIVE -- The unbeaten University of Mount Olive men's basketball team -- off to its best start in school history -- rose a couple of spots in two national polls this week.
The Trojan men are No. 9 in the Division II poll sponsored by the D2SIDA and climbed three spots to No. 15 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II top 25 poll.
West Liberty (W. Va.) is ranked No. 1 each in poll.
Mount Olive defeated Conference Carolinas foes Erskine (S.C.) and Emmanuel (Ga.) last week. The Trojans (9-0 overall) are off for exams this week and return to action Dec. 15 at Peach Belt Conference member UNC Pembroke.
