Rosewood grapplers win pair of road matches

BETHEL -- Rosewood's matmen turned in a pair of dominating efforts during a non-conference tri-meet hosted by perennial Eastern Plains 2-A Conference powerhouse North Pitt on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles handed Farmville a 71-6 loss and turned back the host Panthers, 67-12.
David Dotson, Malique Boyd, Nick Martin, Quan Joyner, Sam Drew, Evan Reiss, Dylan Melgar, Kaleb Smith, Garner Beasley, Rayquon Jones, Kaleb Taylor, Tanner Smith and Reid Amodeo each posted individual wins against Farmville.
Smith, Amodeo, Dotson, Boyd, Nick Martin, Joyner, Joseph Waters, Reiss, Josh Drew, Junior Garcia, Jones and Taylor each notched an individual win against North Pitt.
Rosewood returns to action Saturday in the 19th annual Eagle Invitational. First-round matches begin at 9:15 a.m.
