Warrior matmen grapple at East Carteret

BEAUFORT -- Eastern Wayne, which has wrestled a challenging non-conference schedule, had just four individual victories during the Hard Nor'Easter Duals contested at East Carteret High School.
The Warriors (1-11 overall) fell to Jacksonville White Oak, Jacksonville Northside and the host Mariners during the four-team event.
Cainen Miller pinned White Oak's in 41 seconds at 126 pounds. Jykell McLamb earned a first-period fall over Northside's Kaitlyn Thackerson at 120 pounds, while teammates Miller and John Amon (160) each drew a forfeit.
Vic Skinner emerged as the lone individual winner with a third-period fall over East Carteret's Andrew Rutledge at 145 pounds.
