Ruben Quiroz, Chris Pate spark Goldsboro's 2nd-half surge

After trailing at halftime, Goldsboro scored three second-half goals to defeat Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference foe Ayden-Grifton on Tuesday.
Sophomore Ruben Quiroz scored two goals for the Cougars. Christopher Pate added the third goal and an assist for Goldsboro. Jesus Quiroz assisted a goal as well.
David McAlduff had nine saves between the pipes.
Goldsboro (6-11-0 overall, 4-5-0 ECC) concludes regular-season play today at Greene Central.
