Princeton sweeps Whiteville in 1A volleyball playoffs

Princeton swept Whiteville 27-25, 25-17, 25-18 in the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A state playoffs on Tuesday.
Charley Cox led the Bulldogs with 29 assists. Kasey Edwards notched 12 kills and seven blocks. Emily Ricks and Taylor Carroll each had seven kills.
Jenna Woodard led Princeton with five digs.
The Bulldogs (19-4 overall) travel to Perquimans on Thursday at 6 p.m.
