Preps digest: JV, middle schools

* Football: J.H. Rose 44, Eastern Wayne 20 -- Malyk Williams' three touchdown performance under center wasn't enough for the Warriors in a 44-20 loss to JH Rose. The Warriors were tied 20-20 at halftime before Rose exploded for 24 unanswered points. Juwan Holmes caught five passes for 88 yards and a touchdown. Justin Russell hauled in a 35-yard touchdown. Williams led the team defensively with nine tackles.
Middle schools
* Volleyball: Norwayne 3, Eastern Wayne 0 -- Norwayne defeated Eastern Wayne 25-16, 25-21, 25-18 on Thursday to improve to 11-1. Norwayne will play its season finale Monday against Spring Creek. Eastern Wayne will take on Rosewood.
* Football: Mount Olive 34, Greenwood 16 -- Jeremiah Anderson had two rushing touchdowns to lead Mount Olive Greenwood on Thursday. Taylen West and Jamari Leach also each ran in a score. West had a pick-six for 70 yards. Damien Jones and John Norton led the Chargers defense with five tackles each. Mount Oliver travels to Eastern Wayne on Thursday.
