Hawks shut down Blue Devils

North Lenoir scored two goals within a minute during the first half en route to a 4-0 win over Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference foe South Lenoir Thursday.
Nic Kennedy and Marco Campos each scored a goal and had an assist. Chad Ginn headed home a goal, and Mike Bednarz knocked in a free kick. Daron Gray added an assist for the Hawks.
Jacob Baird had five saves to preserve the shutout.
North Lenoir (9-11-1 overall) rose to 6-2 in ECC play this season.
