Spring Creek upends North Duplin in Carolina 1A volleyball

After winning the first set, North Duplin dropped three straight in a 25-17, 15-25, 17-25, 18-25 loss to Carolina 1-A Conference foe Spring Creek on Thursday.
Sarah Ford had 21 assists for the Gators, and Rachel McCollum pounded out 18 kills. Lexie Reyes had 10 digs and Daisy Martinez blocked three shots.
Chesney Brown led the Rebels with eight kills and three aces, while Haley Brogden added seven kills. Anna Lee Thornton and Rylee Pate each handed out nine assists and Elizabeth Thornton had 10 digs.
North Duplin (5-7 overall) fell to 4-6 in conference play, while Spring Creek (11-4) rose to 6-4 in the league.
