Rosewood earns regular-season sweep of CBA

Lexi Mercer flirted with a double-double and Rosewood completed its regular-season sweep of Charles B. Aycock 28-26, 25-22, 25-16 on Monday afternoon.
Mercer posted 12 kills, seven blocks, three digs and two assists for the Eagles. Ashley Thornton and Hannah Daniels pounded out seven kills and four kills, respectively.
Logan Merritt contributed three kills. First-year setter Macy Tyndall handed out 15 assists and had five digs defensively.
Arlanda Faulkner and Alexis Bynum paced the Golden Falcons' offense with four kills apiece. Emily Patnaude had three kills and two aces.
Taylor Daniels served two aces.
Rosewood (8-5 overall) travels to North Duplin today, while C.B. Aycock plays host to county and Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference rival Eastern Wayne.
