Spring Creek spikers halt 2-match skid

NEWTON GROVE -- Spring Creek halted its two-match losing streak with a three-set victory over Carolina 1-A Conference opponent Hobbton 25-15, 25-14, 25-12 on Thursday.
Rachel McCollum had 14 kills and seven service aces to lead the Gators. Sarah Ford had 22 assists and Lexie Reyes had eight digs. Fernanda Martinez added two blocks.
Spring Creek (7-3 overall) rose to 3-3 in league action this season.
