Crooks serves Chargers past Eagles in volleyball

Wayne Country Day defeated Wayne Christian 25-11, 25-15, 25-19 on Thursday evening.
Sarah Crooks had nine aces and six kills for the Chargers. Rachel Uzzell handed out 20 assists and added five aces, while Savannah Strickland and Tiffany Larsen combined for 10 kills.
Holly Gurley led the Eagles with 17 digs and four aces. Setter Kasey Norris had five kills and seven assists.
Wayne Christian (2-5 overall) faces Faith Christian-Rocky Mount on Monday, while Wayne Country Day (3-4) entertains Statesville today.
