WCDS stays unbeaten on girls' tennis scene

Missing top-seeded Gianna Democko, Wayne Country Day lost just nine games in six singles matches during a 9-0 victory over Oakwood on Thursday afternoon.
Jennifer Potts and Ally Willman each swept their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Taylor Willman and Aimee Barnes put together a pair of 6-1, 6-0 matches. Fourth-seeded Eliza Eagles and fifth-seeded Taylor Gumbish each won in singles.
Potts-A. Willman, T. Willman-Gumbish and Eagles-Margeaux Pope all recorded 8-1 victories in doubles play.
Wayne Country Day (6-0 overall) entertains North Raleigh Christian on Tuesday.
