Rosewood's Burton places 3rd among 40 golfers

Rosewood tied Smithfield-Selma for third place in the team scores on Thursday evening with a score of 149.
The Eagles' Lindsay Burton finished third out of 40 in individual scoring with a 41. Teammate Alana Pipkin carded a personal-best 47 and first-year player Shamaya Revis shot a 61.
Medalist honors went to McKenna Hammer from Neuse Charter with an even-par 36. Haley Talton of Clayton carded a 40.
Calyton and Corinth-Holders tied for first at 143. South Johnston finished fourth (153), followed by Cleveland (155), West Johnston (159), and North Johnston (166).
Rosewood plays again next Thursday at Pine Hollow in Clayton.
