JV football: Eastern Wayne rolls past Goldsboro

Quarterback Malik Williams rushed for 117 yards and threw for another 75 yards in Eastern Wayne's 26-6 conquest of Goldsboro on Thursday.
Williams ran for an 88-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Leslie Swinson scored from four yards out and Jalen Cooper had an 81-yard rush early in the third quarter. Cooper finished with nine carries for 108 yards.
Willie Smith picked off a Goldsboro pass and took it 45 yards for a score.
Jajaun Holmes had three catches for 49 yards for the Warriors.
Zeke Best led the defense with eight tackles and Cooper had six. Four Warriors finished with four tackles each.
