Davis powers Goldsboro past Hobbton

NEWTON GROVE -- Alexus Davis recorded a double-double -- 10 kills, 10 digs -- during Goldsboro's 21-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-14 conquest of Hobbton on Wednesday evening.
Davis served seven aces, had five blocks and dished out two assists in the four-set win. Angelina Nacca handed out a team-high seven assists, while Matti Rose Lyon dominated the service game with nine aces.
Becka Pittard contributed six kills, four aces and seven digs.
The Cougars (2-2 overall) are the guests of Wayne Christian today.
