Hawks' Letchworth tosses 2-hitter

DEEP RUN -- Landon Letchworth fired a two-hitter on an efficient 63 pitches during North Lenoir's 2-0 conquest of Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference archrival South Lenoir on Friday evening.
Letchworth logged five strikeouts for the Hawks, who claimed sole possession of the ECC lead at 6-1.
Luke Jackson paced North Lenoir with two hits and an RBI. Seth Beard and Damon Gray each had one hit.
North Lenoir (13-5 overall) entertains Greene Central on Monday.
