Top-seeded Wayne Christian opened Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tournament play with a 21-0, five-inning triumph over Lee Christian on Thursday evening.
Hunter Burt (four RBI) and Ted Suggs (three RBI) each had four hits for the Eagles.
Tanner Rose limited Lee Christian to one hit and recorded 10 strikeouts in a complete-game effort.
Wayne Christian (11-4 overall) faces Trinity of Raleigh in the semifinals today on the Community Christian diamond.
