Coor cranks out 4 hits in Gators' mercy-rule win

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek remained unbeaten in Carolina 1-A Conference play after an 11-1 trouncing of Princeton Thursday afternoon.
Allen Coor led the Gators' offense with four hits and three RBI. Chad Spurgeon batted in four runs with his two-hit effort.
Will Rouse went all six innings on the mound in the mercy-rule victory. He allowed fve hits and struck out four.
Nick Phillips led Princeton with two hits. Tanner Flowers endured the pitching loss.
The Gators (15-4 overall, 10-0 CC) plays host to Rosewood today, while Princeton (8-11, 4-6) is the guest of North Duplin. North Duplin travels to Rosewood on Saturday for a 7 p.m. game.
