Pate throws 3-hitter, Rebels shock Rosewood

Rylee Pate allowed just three hits and struck out eight inside the pitcher's circle during North Duplin's 4-3 victory over Carolina 1-A Conference rival Rosewood on Thursday evening.
Brooke Cottle led the Rebels' offense with two hits and Mikayla Koch added two RBI.
Callie Thornton, Kaitlyn Pipkin and Alicia Burns each had one hit for the Eagles. Thornton endured the loss on the mound.
North Duplin (8-5 overall, 7-2 CC) entertains league-leading Princeton today, while Rosewood (7-3, 6-3) is the guest of Spring Creek.
