Wayne Christian stays unbeaten in league play

Wayne Christian scored eight runs in the top of the first and cruised to a 17-1 mercy-rule victory over Carolina Christian 1-A Conference foe Trinity of Raleigh.
Brandon Price had four hits and three RBI to lead the way for the Eagles. Hunter Burt and Ryan Kennedy added two hits apiece.
Austin Howell got the win on the mound in three innings of work allowing no runs on three hits. Tanner Rose finished the last two innings in relief.
Wayne Christian (8-3 overall, 6-0 CCC) will take on Wayne Country Day in the Charger Diamond Classic on Thursday.
