Princeton dominates Lakewood on softball diamond

SALEMBURG -- Defending Carolina 1-A Conference champion Princeton scored 14 runs during the first two innings and handed Lakewood an 18-0 mercy-rule loss Tuesday evening.
Taylor Carroll had a monster performance with four hits, including two doubles and a triple, and six RBI. Savanna Massengill added two hits and three RBI for the Bulldogs.
Tori Paul got the win in the circle throwing three hits of no-hit ball. She struck out five batters. Kasey Johnson came on in relief and gave up one hit in two innings of scoreless relief.
Princeton (7-4 overall, 5-0 CC) entertains Rosewood Friday at 6:30 p.m.
