Eastern Wayne falls to Hunt on baseball diamond

Zach Smith and Coy Barnett pounded out two hits apiece during Eastern Wayne's 8-5, non-conference loss to perennial powerhouse Wilson Hunt on Monday afternoon.
Smith tripled and scored a run. Barnett doubled and collected three RBI. Teammates Lee Daniels, Ryan Faucette, Tanner Wells (RBI), Tyler Warren and Bryce McKeel provided one hit apiece.
Brandon Johnson endured the pitching loss.
Eastern Wayne (5-7 overall) entertains county rival Southern Wayne today. Game time is 6 p.m.
