Creel qualifies for eastern 3A track regional

WILSON -- Charles B. Aycock's Klara Doyle and sprinter Courtney Warner each claimed an individual champion during the annual Wilson Times Classic contested at Beddingfield on Monday afternoon.
Doyle placed first in the triple jump and emerged as the runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles. Warner topped the competition in the 100-meter dash.
Jade Creel placed second with a regional-qualifying mark in the high jump.
The foursome of Taylor Daniels, Precious Reed, Janie Smith and Kristen Denning captured second in the 3,200-meter relay.
