Saints stay unbeaten in ECC 3A/4A girls' soccer

WINTERVILLE -- Maria Gutierrez notched the eventual game-winning goal during Southern Wayne's 2-0 victory over South Central on the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference scene Thursday afternoon.
Gutierrez scored off of Alva Perez's assist.
Cynthia Rivera assisted Perez on the Saints' second goal.
Goalkeeper Macie Weeks recorded 12 saves.
Southern Wayne (2-0-1 overall, 1-0-1 ECC) entertains South Lenoir today, and is the guest of D.H. Conley on Monday.
