PRINCETON -- Tyler Ricks emerged as Princeton's offensive leader with two hits in a 3-2 loss to Hobbton on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Friday afternoon.
Nick Phillips (RBI) and Patrick Norris each had one hit for the Bulldogs, who dipped to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in league play this season.
Matt Daughtry took the hard-luck on the mound. He scattered six hits and struck out nine Wildcat batters. However, Hobbton plated three unearned runs on five PHS errors.
Princeton is the guest of Spring Creek on Monday.
