Bell paces EW offense with three hits

J.H. Rose snapped its four-game skid with a 12-1, mercy-rule win over Eastern Wayne in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference game Friday afternoon.
Trisha Bell turned in a 3-for-3 effort for the Warriors, who dropped to 0-5 overall this season. Brooke Morawski contributed two hits. Brittany McAlduff and Debbie Mitchell had one hit apiece.
Emily Uzzell endured the pitching loss.
Weather permitting, Eastern Wayne (0-2 ECC) travels to defending state 3-A champion D.H. Conley on Tuesday.
