Goldsboro prevails in ECC 2A golf match

Goldsboro won its first Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference match of the season with a team score of 369 at Falling Creek Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
South Lenoir finished 10 strokes back, followed by Greene Central (414). North Lenoir and Ayden-Grifton carded identical scores of 447.
David White, of South Lenoir, earned medalist honors with a 74. Goldsboro's Matt Holland placed second with a 78.
The next ECC meet is Monday at Cutter Creek.
