McCollum logs 10Ks inside pitcher's circle

SALEMBURG -- Rachel McCollum recorded 10 strikeouts inside the pitcher's circle, and Spring Creek opened Carolina 1-A Conference play with a 10-0, mercy-rule win over Lakewood.
McCollum, Samantha Crouch (triple), Alanna Price (double), Ashley Marriner, Sydney Ocker, Grace West, Martha Morton and Jessica Keyser contributed to the win at the plate.
Spring Creek improved to 3-1 overall.
