Howell throws three-hit shutout

Reed Howell threw a complete-game three-hitter and Rosewood dispatched Hobbton, 10-0, in a mercy-rule shortened game Friday afternoon.
It was the Carolina 1-A opener for both teams.
Howell logged 10 strikeouts for the Eagles.
Bryce McKeel (three RBI) paced Rosewood's offense with three hits. Jordan Lynn (RBI) batted 2-for-2. Howell (two RBI) and Daniel Herring had one hit apiece.
The Eagles entertain James Kenan on Tuesday.
