Tanner scores twice, WCDS takes season opener

Margaret Tanner collected both goals during Wayne Country Day's season-opening, 2-0 triumph over Northwood Temple on Thursday afternoon.

Tanner converted a penalty kick and notched her second goal off of an assist from Allison Bailey. The two strikes occurred within a 10-minute period.

Senior keeper Bailee Creger earned the shutout in goal.

The Chargers (1-0-0 overall) entertain Community Christian on Monday.
