RHS girls dominate Carolina 1A meet

Rosewood emerged victorious in eight individual events and secured first place in two relays during a four-team, Carolina 1-A Conference meet Monday afternoon.
Standout sprinter Alysse Atwell posted first-place times in the 110 and 300 hurdles, and won the long jump with a mark of 29-2. Jamekia Best won the long jump and 400-meter dash.
Brynna Lee took the pole vault, 800 and 1,600 run. Senior Ashley Duran topped the field in the 3,200 run.
The Eagles won the 800 and 3,200 relays.
Spring Creek's Darian Mullins won the discus (60-8) and shot put (28-3). Teammate Lina Hamdan grabbed first in the high jump.
The Gators secured the 1,600 relay.
