* Baseball: Wayne Christian 11, Parrott Academy 2 -- Ryan Kennedy and Jaxon Anderson (RBI) cranked out three hits apiece in the Eagles' season-opening win at historic Grainger Stadium in Kinston. Hunter Burt contributed two hits and an RBI. Holden Foster added one hit and an RBI. Foster and Ted Suggs combined for the pitching win.
