Wayne Country Day swept the doubles courts and handed previously-unbeaten Rosewood a 6-3, non-conference defeat on Tuesday afternoon.
The Chargers received singles wins from Sam Dively, Miller Gerrard and Preston Edwards. Gerrard-Michael Knutson, Dively-P. Edwards and Hunter Hawkins-Holden Edwards each triumphed in doubles play.
Dylan Cuddington, Jeremy Lintner and Jake Smith each claimed a singles point for the Eagles.
"They're a solid team," RHS head coach Clifton Greenup said.
WCDS (1-0 overall) entertains Grace Christian of Sanford on Friday. Weather permitting, Rosewood (2-1) is the guest of Goldsboro today.
