CBA falls in ECC 3A/4A tennis opener

PIKEVILLE -- South Central prevailed at No. 1 doubles and slipped past Charles B. Aycock, 5-4, in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference match Monday afternoon.
Third-seeded Jackson Yelverton and fourth-seeded Allan Best each earned a straight-set victory in singles for Aycock. Addison Vail-Best and Stanton Head-Nick Coston each triumphed in doubles.
South Central won four singles matches.
The Golden Falcons (0-3 overall, 0-1 ECC) visit Greenfield today.
