Gators cruise past Blue Devils, 11-7

DEEP RUN -- Allen Coor emerged as the winning pitcher in relief, and Spring Creek rallied past South Lenoir, 11-7, on Saturday afternoon.
Coor surrendered one earned run on four hits and struck out three in two innings of work. Will Rouse started for the Gators (2-1 overall) and Chad Spurgeon tossed three middle innings of relief.
The trio combined to strike out seven South Lenoir batters.
Sawyer Smith paced the Gators' offense with a team-high four hits and team-high four RBI in five official plate appearances. Coor batted 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Logan Miller provided one hit.
South Lenoir led 3-2 after three innings.
The Gators plated nine runs over the next four innings and withstood a four-run, Blue Devil outburst in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Spring Creek travels to Greene Central today.
