Spring Creek baseball knocks off Greene Central

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Allen Coor threw three solid innings and emerged as the winning pitcher during Spring Creek's 5-1, non-conference triumph over Greene Central on Wednesday afternoon.
Coor yielded an unearned run.
Chad Spurgeon and Logan Miller combined for four innings of eight-strikeout, two-hit relief. Each had two hits for the Gators, who claimed their first win of the season in two tries.
Coor, Sawyer Smith and Hunter Walker recorded one hit apiece.
Bailey Ormond and Kevin Ormond had one each for the Rams.
Weather permitting, Spring Creek is the guest of South Lenoir today.
