North Lenoir suffers 1st baseball loss of season

WILSON -- Daron Gray tallied North Lenoir's lone run on a passed ball during a 4-1, non-conference loss to Wilson Fike on Wednesday evening.
Offensive leaders for the Hawks were Gray Ethan Pittman, Tyler Smith, Brandon Moore, Jacob Baird and Seth Beard.
Beard endured the mound loss for the Hawks, who fell to 2-1 overall this season. He surrendered four runs (three earned) on three hits and one walk during a three-inning stint.
Orlando Cannon tossed three innings of three-strikeout relief.
Weather permitting, North Lenoir entertains C.B. Aycock on Friday.
