Hawks' Reese drives in game-winning run against E. Wayne

Noah Reese drove in the game's only run as North Lenoir defeated Eastern Wayne 1-0 in nine innings on Wednesday evening.
It was the season opener for both teams.
Reese and Landon Letchworth each had two hits for the Hawks. Brandon Moore and Daron Gray each added a hit.
Ryan Faucette and Coy Barnett each had a hit for the Warriors. Eastern Wayne had 15 strikeouts as a team.
Faucette got the start on the mound and pitched four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and two walks. Barnett was the hard-luck loser on the mound.
North Lenoir (1-0) entertains Southern Wayne today. The Warriors (0-1) entertain Wilson Hunt on Friday.
