Middle schools
* Girls' basketball: Wayne Christian 30, Cape Fear Christian 12 -- Kasey Norris and Ashley Harrelson each finished with 10 points for the Eagles. Georgia Parnell added six points. Wayne Christian concluded the regular season with a record of 10-1.
* Boys' basketball: Greenwood 53, Mount Olive 24 -- Isaiah Wilder and Emmanuel Perksy paced Greenwood with 12 points apiece. Nick Perkins supplied 10 points. Jakeuis Mucollen had 13 points for Mount Olive. Greenwood travels to Norwayne on Monday.
* Boys' basketball: Grantham 54, Dillard 30 -- Grantham's Jamal King led all scorers with 27 points. Aaron Smith contributed 15 points and Rakilen Butler had 11 points. Grantham improved to 12-2 this season.
* Boys' basketball: Wayne Christian 44, Cape Fear Christian 38 -- Austin Kornegay led the Eagles with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Wayne Christian (10-8) begins play in the Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tournament Monday as the second seed. The Eagles entertain Cape Fear Christian.
* Boys' basketball: Eastern Wayne 62, Spring Creek 23 -- Isaiah Davis paced the Warriors with nine points. Coby White, Marcus Rouse and Omar Marrero each had eight points. Isaiah Hatchett provided seven points.
* Boys' basketball: Rosewood 37, Brogden 24 -- Chance Howard paced the Eagles' attack with 14 points. Tucker Chapin contributed 10 points.
