Eutsey, Morrow combine to set three school records

KENLY -- Charles B. Aycock senior Michael Eutsey set two new school records and teammate TJ Morrow established one of his own during a six-team meet contested at North Johnston on Wednesday afternoon.

Eutsey accomplished his feat in the 55-meter dash and 55-meter hurdles. He also placed first in the high jump.

Morrow won the 300-meter dash in record-setting fashion.

Aycock's Joseph Mooneyham won the 3,200-meter run. The Golden Falcons' foursome of Brandon Swinson, Conner Crandall, Eutsey and Morrow combined to win the 1,600 relay.

The Golden Falcons tallied 99 points, followed by Wilson Beddingfield with 83.5. Farmville Central (63.5 points), North Pitt (58), North Johnston (49) and SouthWest Edgecombe (15) completed the team scoring.

Mackenzie Stewart placed first in the 1,600 and 3,200 for Aycock's girls. Kennedy Perkins won the 1,000 meters and Kassandra Sandoval triumphed in the 500 meters.

Aycock compiled 106 points.

The same six teams meet Dec. 18 at Beddingfield.
