WCDS girls fall to Fayetteville Christian

Wayne Country Day fell behind 16-0 after one quarter and never fully recovered in a 49-12, non-conference loss to Fayetteville Christian on Tuesday evening.
The Chargers didn't score until Karis Hawkins sank one of two free throws nearly 13 minutes into the game. Wayne Country Day was held scoreless in the first and third quarters.
Hawkins and Bailee Creger each scored three points for the Chargers.
Abby Bullock led the Warriors with 17 points. Aundraya Doyle added 15 points.
Wayne Country Day (2-8 overall) entertains Trinity Christian of Fayetteville tonight.
