N. Duplin boys prevail in season opener

CAMP LEJEUNE -- North Duplin erupted for 28 points in the second quarter during its 75-45, non-conference win at Lejeune on Tuesday evening.
Cody Ivey finished with 21 points for the Rebels, who were playing their season-opening game. Trey Pate provided 12 points and Daron Goodman added 10. Savon Scott had eight points.
North Duplin (1-0) entertains Dixon on Friday.
