Thompson, unbeaten Saints dominate Goldsboro girls

Cierra Thompson just missed a triple-double for the second straight outing during Southern Wayne's 60-38, non-conference triumph over county rival Goldsboro inside Norvell T. Lee Gymnasium on Friday evening.
Thompson recorded 18 points, 10 steals and nine rebounds for the Saints, who remained perfect in five outings this season. Teammate Latrecia Johnson delivered a double-double -- 12 points, 16 rebounds.
Zaria Atkins posted 16 points.
Southern Wayne is the guest of Northern Nash on Tuesday.
