SW boys drop season opener to Smithfield-Selma

SELMA -- Southern Wayne failed to get critical defensive stops down the stretch in an 84-74 loss to Smithfield-Selma in the season opener for both teams Monday evening.
Jamon Wade led Southern Wayne with 18 points. Jalen Roberts finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Jartarvis Bradshaw tallied 15 points in the defeat.
Southern Wayne (0-1 overall) plays host to Northern Nash on Wednesday.
