Princeton knocks off Lakewood

SALEMBURG -- Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season champion Princeton continued its unbeaten streak against league opposition with a 25-17, 25-17, 25-15 win at Lakewood on Thursday evening.
Savanna Massengill led the Bulldogs with 13 kills and four blocks. Charley Cox distributed 30 assists. Tori Paul supplied nine kills and Taylor Carroll contributed seven kills and six digs. Kasey Edwards and Hailey Wood each had four kills. Jenna Woodard finished with fix digs.
Princeton (19-1 overall, 14-0 CC) plays host to eighth-seeded Neuse Charter in opening-round play of the conference tournament Monday. First serve is 5 p.m.
