Kennedy scores twice for Hawks against Goldsboro

LaGRANGE -- Nic Kennedy scored a pair of goals and North Lenoir defeated Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference foe Goldsboro 4-1 on Thursday night.
Mike Bednarz and Braxton Greene also scored for the Hawks. Hunter Smith, Andrew Riley and Blake Dunn each tallied an assist.
Jacob Baird recorded seven saves in goal.
Rubin Quiroz supplied the Cougars' lone goal.
North Lenoir (2-6-2 overall, 2-2-0 ECC) visits Ayden-Grifton on Monday, while Goldsboro (2-11-0, 2-3-0) is the guest of Greene Central.
